Both the LA Kings and Ontario Reign hit the ice for the first time since the holiday break, and more good news may be in store.

After skating last week in a red non-contact jersey before the Reign departed to Abbotsford for a two-game series against the Canucks, Alex Turcotte was seen skating in a gray jersey at practice, per Hockey Royalty’s own Russell Morgan.

Turcotte hasn’t played since suffering an injury in a game against the Bakersfield Condors on December 8th. While there is still no timetable on when he’ll return, this is good news for the organization given his injury history. Turcotte was nearly a point-per-game player with the Reign (19 points in 22 games) before the injury.

The Reign are in action tomorrow night as they hit the road to take on the San Diego Gulls.
