NFL free agency begins March 13 at 4 p.m. EST, and as busy as general manager John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks have been revamping their coaching staff, it is only just the beginning of moves the team will make.
Seattle will have its hands full with contract negotiations heading into free agency as 14 unrestricted players are set to hit the open market.
Leonard Williams, DE
Willams' market value is calculated at three years, $51.2M, per Spotrac.
A 2024 second-round pick and 2025 fifth-round pick was the price Seattle paid trading for the former No. 6 overall pick. That's a haul that suggests the Seahawks see Williams in their long-term plans. Williams would continue to improve a Seahawks defense that finished 21st in passing, 31st in rushing and 30th in total defense.
Jordyn Brooks, LB
Brooks' value is estimated at four years, $45.4M, per Spotrac.
The 26-year-old linebacker is coming off a third straight 100-tackle season and is developing behind a longtime Seahawks great, Bobby Wagner. Brooks is more than just a tackle machine — the former Texas Tech star has solid coverage ability and a knack for rushing the passer.
By declining his fifth-year option, Brooks forces Seattle to write a bigger check to keep the sideline-to-sideline linebacker around.
Seattle linebacker Jordyn Brooks had 111 total tackles with 8 TFL's and 4.5 sacks last year.

Here, he starts moving to the gap before Miles Sanders can take his first step with the ball. Suffocating tackle for no gain.

Other notable players:
Bobby Wagner, LB
Wagner has spent 11 of his 12 NFL seasons with the Seahawks, but it might be time to part ways with the six-time All-Pro, who will turn 34 by the start of next season. Though he racked up a career-high 183 tackles in 2023, it's time for a new era to commence under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald, the former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator.

• 183 tackles (league leader)
• 11 tackles for loss
• 6 QB hits
• 3.5 sacks
• 3 passes defended
• 1 fumble recovery

Other names: TE Colby Parkinson, RB DeeJay Dallas, LB Devin Bush, C Evan Brown and DE Mario Edwards Jr.
Patrick Queen, LB
According to Spotrac, Queen's market is set at five years, $92.6M.
Queen to Seattle makes too much sense not to happen. Not only would the 24-year-old Pro Bowl linebacker reunite with his Baltimore defensive coordinator, but he would also fill the shoes of Wagner if Seattle decides to move on. Queen — much like Brooks — is an explosive, hard-hitting linebacker who also finds his way into the backfield.
The fourth-year linebacker falls to 45th (third among linebackers) in Pro Football Focus' 2024 free agent ranking, after arguably posting his best season in 2023 with 133 tackles (career-high), nine tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and one interception.
