Ohio State will have to beat out Georgia and Alabama to secure their 2025 running back target
Lori Schmidt / Columbus Dispatch-USA TODAY NETWORK

Ohio State is going to have to beat out two of the better programs in college football if they want to land their top running back target.

On Friday, four-star Ohio running back Bo Jackson announced that he would be taking his three official visits to Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama in that order.

With that news, it appears that Michigan has been put on the back burner and is no longer in the running to land one of the better running backs in the country. Jackson will visit the Bulldogs from May 17-19, then will end the month in Columbus from May 31 until June 2. The final visit to Alabama will be from June 7-9.

Jackson is ranked the No. 77 overall recruit and No. 5 running back, according to the 247 Composite. The Buckeyes have long been the favorite to land the Cleveland-area running back.

Currently, Ohio State does not have a running back committed out of their 13 commits in the class of 2025. They are recruiting Mater Dei 4-star running back Jordan Davison hard as well and would take both backs in this class.

Of course, his name helps, but Jackson has been one of the more sought-after prospers in the class with offers all over the country. If the Buckeyes can keep him in Ohio, that will be a big win.
